Hey Pathfinders,
It's been a while!
Four months since the last Field Notes, and we've been heads-down building.
Today, we're sharing the biggest development in Rangeway's story so far...
Introducing the Rangeway Summit

When we started Rangeway, the question was simple: what does premium EV charging look like when you design it from the driver's experience out? That question shaped three formats: the Trailhead as the entry point, the Waystation for a streamlined stop, and the Basecamp as a full-service destination. Each one was built around a specific moment on the journey.
Somewhere along the way, the question changed. What happens when the stop itself becomes the reason to travel?
The Rangeway Summit is our answer.
Our Summit locations are hospitality destinations where 100% off-grid solar EV charging is woven into the experience.
Modular guest units we call Lookouts are arranged around a central clubhouse, with a solar field and on-site battery storage powering everything behind the scenes. It's the same spirit AutoCamp and Under Canvas have brought to outdoor hospitality, reimagined for a world where the vehicle you arrived in is part of the story.
For the driver passing through, it's a premium charging stop. For the traveler who books a Lookout, it's a destination. For us, it's the fullest expression of what we've been building toward from the start: the hospitality company that EV charging was always meant to be.
We'll be sharing more about our Rangeway Summit concept over the coming months as our first sites progress. For now, this is the first time we're showing it publicly.
A Word on Our Energy Partner
The Rangeway Summit model doesn't work without the right energy infrastructure partner. We've found that in Carbon DC.
Carbon DC is our energy infrastructure partner on our first sites, and a cornerstone of the Rangeway Summit model.
Their team brings deep expertise in off-grid solar, battery storage, and the engineering that turns rural land into a working site that runs on sunshine.
We initially met the team at Carbon DC last year, and those early conversations laid the groundwork for what, eventually, became the Rangeway Summit.
Four Formats, One Standard
With the addition of the Rangeway Summit, our network now has four formats:
Trailhead. The entry point where every Rangeway journey starts. Hardware-flexible ultra-fast charging for urban areas, retail centers, and gap-fill locations. These are built to evolve into a Waystation or Basecamp as demand grows.
Waystation. A streamlined stop with 8 to 10 ultra-fast chargers and a 1,200 square foot staffed driver's lounge.
Basecamp. A full-service destination with 10 to 12 ultra-fast chargers and a 2,500 square foot staffed driver's lounge, paired with a staffed cafe and extended hospitality.
Summit. A hospitality-first destination featuring Lookouts, a central clubhouse, and 100% off-grid solar charging.
The formats are different but the standard is the same: premium hospitality, designed around the person at the wheel.
Ekoenergetyka, Our Exclusive Hardware Partner
In case you missed the news last month, we selected Ekoenergetyka as our exclusive hardware partner for Rangeway-owned Waystations and Basecamps. Ekoenergetyka is one of Europe's leading ultra-fast charging hardware manufacturers, with more than 15 years of e-mobility experience and deployments across 40 countries. Their hardware will power the driver experience at every Rangeway-owned Waystation and Basecamp in the network.

What's Next
We have sites that are in active development across the American West. We're keeping the specifics close until site control and permitting are further along, but you'll hear location details as they become ready to share.
Thanks for being here. Four months between issues is longer than we'd like, but every one of them counted. The Summit is the clearest sign yet of where this is all headed.
As always, reply to this email with questions, thoughts, or anything else. We read every one.
Until next time,
